Limited 5-Year Warranty

Scope

Kitch warrants its components against delamination and surface discoloration for a period of five years from the date of receipt. This warranty offers repair or replacement at Kitch's discretion, provided the product is determined to be defective under normal use.

Specifications

  1. Manufacturing tolerance: ±1/32" (1 mm).

  2. Warp Specification: 1.5 mm per linear foot, measured with the door on the cabinet with hinges fully adjusted.

  3. Upon delivery, components must be stored in a temperature-controlled environment with an air temperature of 21°C (70°F) and relative humidity between 35% and 45% to prevent damage.

  4. Products should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area, protected from exposure to outdoor elements.

  5. Certain materials may arrive with a protective peel coat. If your selected finish includes a peel coat, it must be removed promptly after installation. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can make the peel coat more difficult to remove.

Exclusions

  1. The warranty is void if delamination occurs after a panel has been cut, modified, or otherwise altered from its original condition.

  2. Products manufactured outside Kitch’s standard specifications are not covered under warranty.

  3. The Kitch warranty does not cover damage resulting from excessive heat, water exposure, scratches, misuse, incorrect installation, or fading (general wear and tear).

Replacement Materials

Replacement of defective materials may result in slight colour or grain variations due to changes in colour or texture by the board manufacturer. This is not considered a defect. Kitch reserves the right to substitute materials in styles currently being manufactured, and will only be obliged to match the colour, style and quality as it is producing at the time of replacement.

Visual Discrepancies

Kitch cannot guarantee that colours or woodgrains will appear the same on a computer monitor or in printouts from our website, catalogues or marketing materials. As colours and textures vary, the actual product may not match the images exactly.

Shinnoki Characteristics & Limitations

Scope

Shinnoki products are made from real wood and offer unique beauty and positive characteristics inherent to natural materials. However, as with all real wood, certain limitations exist. By purchasing Shinnoki products, the purchaser acknowledges and agrees to the following characteristics and limitations, which are not covered by warranty.

Discolouration and Colour Variation

Real wood deepens or changes colour over time, particularly under the influence of sunlight. This natural process may cause the wood to darken or lighten, and such changes are not covered by warranty.

Natural Wood Characteristics

  1. No two trees are identical, and as a result, each board will exhibit unique colour and structural variations.

  2. Small marks such as knots and mineral streaks are naturally occurring in real wood and do not affect the quality or performance of the product. These features are considered part of the product’s inherent beauty and are not subject to warranty claims.

Production Batch Variations

Because wood is a natural product, there may be variations between different production batches. The manufacturer strongly recommends using material from the same production batch for each room or installation area to achieve the most uniform result.

Acknowledgement

All purchasers of Shinnoki products are expected to have reviewed and understood these natural characteristics and limitations before making a purchase. By purchasing and using Shinnoki products, the purchaser agrees to these terms.
